Marketing Coordinator (M/F)

Canyon Italia S.r.l, direct owned subsidiary of Canyon Bicycles GmbH, was set up in 2012 to provide sales, marketing, technical service and customer support to the Italian market. As the leading online cycle retailer in Europe we have a unique business model in the cycle industry. All Canyon bikes are sold exclusively online at and shipped direct from our factory in Germany to customers in Italy. A significant part of our job is to deliver the best customer experience possible by handling all customer enquiries at all stages of the sales process. As an online only business, providing the best possible customer service experience is integral to our business throughout all contact points. You will be part of this Global Strategy as Marketing Coordinator to facilitate this process, and make Canyon a closer brand to the Italian cyclists. You will work close to the Market Manager and the Global Team to localise the International Strategy in Italy making Canyon the preferred bike choice.


  • You will assist in the delivery of campaigns across print, digital and social media so a sound understanding across all platforms is required. You will monitor all campaigns and report about.         
  • You will provide to our PR Agency full support to create content and implement special projects to promote Canyon, as well as, to create news and activate vertical media to publish news and special content. A good copywriting understanding and skills are required.         
  • You will be responsible for the Italian translations/text on our website and all communication channel to guarantee the best customer experience and the most comprehensive marketing campaign.         
  • You will assist in the planning of both industry and consumer events and take ownership of our local Event Material and Marketing bike fleet. 
  • You will work on new ideas and projects as “Ambassador Programe”, Sponsor, special rides and other ad-hoc activities.


    We're looking for someone passionate about cycling, outstanding and exceptional in everything they do with the following skills and experience:

    • Creative approach, proactive in your ideas and efficient in planning to deliver the best Customer Experience; more important able to take ideas to actions.
    • Education to degree level, preferable in Business Administration/Marketing with previous experience in a marketing role of at least 2 years.
    • Deep social media knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram.
    • Experience of Google analytics and the ability to understand and compile campaign performance reports and statistics.
    • Great knowledge of bikes and cycling, current market trends and future opportunities. This could be from working in a bike shop, riding for a number of years, a misspent youth reading too many bike mags or previous industry experience. It is vital that you're passionate about cycling and have a desire to share your passion for the sport either face to face at events, on the phone or by email.
    • A helpful, flexible and proactive attitude. Previous marketing experience is essential, ideally from the sport industry. Friendly, helpful and efficient manner and can use this to integrate your skills and personality to meet the brand directives. You thrive on engaging both media and customers and take pride in delivering creative solutions.
    • Ownership and delivery of creative ideas with personality and in a structured and well planned approach.
    • Outgoing and conversational both on the phone and in a written format. Outstanding writing skills and punctuation and an ability to develop relationships with key partners.
    • Computer literate is a must along with strong organisational and admin skills.
    • Tenacious, creative, driven, enthusiastic, passionate, ambitious, committed with a work ethic that is unmatched.
