Senior Product Manager - Helmet & Footwear (m/f/d)

THE ROLE

    As we continue to expand our product lines and global footprint, we are seeking a seasoned Senior Product Manager to lead our efforts in revolutionizing the bicycle helmet and footwear industry.

YOUR JOB AS PART OF THE CANYON CREW

  1. Product Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy aligned with company goals and market trends. Identify opportunities for growth, innovation, and differentiation within the bicycle helmet and footwear markets.
  2. Product Lifecycle Management: Oversee the entire product lifecycle from concept to launch, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality products. Lead the cross-functional helmet team including design, engineering, marketing, and manufacturing to drive product development initiatives.
  3. Market Analysis: Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and competitive threats. Utilize insights to inform product roadmap and development priorities.
  4. Customer Insights: Work closely with category management, customer service, sales, and marketing teams to gather customer feedback and insights. Translate customer needs into actionable product requirements and features.
  5. Budget and Resource Management: Manage product development budgets and resources effectively to optimize ROI and meet financial targets. Prioritize initiatives based on strategic importance and resource availability.
  6. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all products comply with relevant safety standards and regulatory requirements. Stay informed about industry regulations and standards to guide product development decisions.
  7. Stakeholder Communication: Communicate product vision, strategy, and performance to executive leadership, cross-functional teams, and external stakeholders. Champion the value proposition of our products and inspire confidence in our brand.
  8. Talent Development: Attract and develop a high-performing helmet and footwear R&D Team. Provide mentorship and create a conducive environment for innovation, continuous learning, and skill development.

HOW YOU BECOME PART OF THE RACE

    1. Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, marketing, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
    2. Minimum 8 years of experience in product management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role within the consumer goods or sporting goods industry.
    3. Proven track record of successfully launching and managing product lines from concept to market.
    4. Deep understanding of product development processes, including design thinking, agile methodologies, and stage-gate processes.
    5. Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex data and market insights into actionable strategies.
    6. Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence and inspire stakeholders at all levels.
    7. Passion for cycling and a commitment to improving safety and performance for cyclists globally.


    8. Travel Requirements:
      ● Frequent travel (approximately 25%) through Europe, Asia, and the United States will be required to visit other office locations, attend conferences, support race teams, visit suppliers and customers, conduct market research, and collaborate on projects.
      ● A valid passport and willingness to travel internationally are essential for this role.
