THE ROLE

    Canyon is looking for a Junior Human Rights Manager (m/f/d) as a key member in our ESG department. We are looking for a driven, positive, team-centric individual with a passion for Human Rights, able to implement a continuous improvement process across different regions and cultures and keen on working with different interest groups.
    Reporting to the Human Rights Manager, this position is based in Koblenz (Germany). Strong organizational, relationship building, critical thinking and communication skills to drive Human Rights compliance and responsible business conduct are essential for this position.

YOUR JOB AS PART OF THE CANYON CREW

  • Own the process for initiating and coordinating Social Audits worldwide with third party auditors and follow up on Corrective Action Plans
  • Work in close cooperation with the Human Rights Manager, and other external and internal Stakeholders
  • Drive specific x-functional process alignments with other departments and their implementation across the organization to embed/promote Human Rights Due Diligence in core business processes
  • As a people person, you can inspire others to respect Human Rights and to drive change
  • Support the Human Rights due diligence process globally and strategic roadmap implementation
  • Contribute to the yearly non-financial reporting with your sound understanding of Human Rights Due Diligence and relevant data and information

HOW YOU BECOME PART OF THE RACE

    • Degree in Human Rights, Sustainability, Business Administration or related field of studies
    • 1-3 years of relevant work experience
    • Field experience as social auditor or audit coordinator is a plus
    • Solid understanding of Human Rights Due diligence, social compliance/ auditing and related x-functional/ supply chain implications
    • Familiar with the German Supply Chain Act and other similar global legislations, focusing on Human Rights Due Diligence
    • Hands-on mentality with strong analytical, problem-solving, attention to detail capabilities and the ability to break down long-term goals into step-by-step actions
    • Highly organized with excellent communication and presentation skills
    • You are a self-motivated team player, ready to work cross functional and to adapt to dynamic work surroundings with multiple interest groups
