THE DEPARTMENT
Canyon XD is a global UX, UI service and content design team delivering new products and services for our customers. We’re research-lead, open and collaborative. As a seasonal business, we do have busy periods, but we pride ourselves on a healthy work life balance. As a global team, it’s important we work with and design for diverse cultures and perspectives.
The Canyon XD team is on the hunt for a Design Operations Manager based in our HQ in Koblenz/ Germany or Amsterdam Hub/ Netherlands to help us deliver an ambitious roadmap of digital products and services. Working as part of a growing, friendly team, you’ll be responsible for driving operational excellence in a high performing, multidisciplinary design team. You’ll be responsible for ensuring our the experience design squads work on the right projects, at the right time to meet our business goals.
YOUR JOB AS PART OF THE CANYON CREW
- Deliver projects and products using the appropriate design-lead project management methodology
- Work with senior stakeholders and product managers to define and deliver a roadmap of projects, products and services
- Understand team capabilities and capacities and use this knowledge to ensure projects are correctly scoped with realistic milestones
- Work with development teams to prioritise design activity around code releases
- Facilitate collaborative and productive design and product review sessions with business units and stakeholders and help responsible designers collate and prioritise feedback
- Contribute to and help build a growing operations team
HOW YOU BECOME PART OF THE RACE
- 4+ years professional experience; E-Commerce and/or DTC experience would be fantastic
- Experience delivering products with complex architecture at a global level
- Experience delivering digital projects, products and services experience
- Profound understanding of product strategy, design and development as well as digital landscape
- First experience with Salesforce multi cloud and/or SAP is considered an asset
- Experience using a range of project management methods and the ability to choose the best tool for the job
- Experience supporting and working closely with multi-disciplinary and high-performing design teams
- Adaptable to changing work environments and an ability to manage workload with a proactive attitude
